It is one of the nicest lake-plateaus in Europe and also an ideal starting point for tours to the famous Großglockner, to the Nock Mountains in Carinthia, to the Southstyrian wine-street or to the "Gesäuse" in Mariazell.

Individuality is in our house an important principle! Guided tours belong to our standard programme. We also offer panorama tours via the Tauplitzalm or also barbecue at our terrace. Please note: The driving ban at the Tauplitzalm is not valid for our hotel guests. The gate will be opened for you!
Some route recommendations
Salzkammergut-Lake Tour, approx. 220 km
Bad Aussee, through the "Knoppen Pass" to the Hallstätter Lake. Bad Ischl, along the Wolfgangsee Lake over the Scharfling to the Mondsee Lake. Further to Attersee Lake and past the foot of the Hochlecken to the Traunsee Lake. On the return you can also take a detour to the Grundlsee Lake.
Nationalpark Nockberge - in the land of the groundhogs, approx. 335 km
From the Taunplitzalm proceed to the Sölktal Valley and through the Sölk Pass to Murau. Further over the Turracher Höhe to the Reichenau Plateau. There your trip begins over Nockalm, which ends in Kremsbrücke. Now you travel back over the Radstädter Tauern and the Ennstal Valley to the Tauplitz
Der gewaltige Großglockner, ca. 446 km
Wir starten mit einer Fahrt durch das Ennstal und den Pongau bis nach Bruck an der Glocknerstraße. Von dort führt uns die Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße bis zur Edelweißspitze auf 2.571 m. Nach einem herrlichen Panoramablick geht es über Heiligenblut, Obervellach und das Maltatal heimwärts.
