This demanding route goes from Lugano through 5 high alpine passes Lukmanier, Julier (St. Moritz), Moloja (Italy), Splügen and San Bernardino. This winding route leads to Laveno (Italy), with the ferry to Intra and along the Lago Maggiore to the picturesque town of Cannobbio. From there you go down the valley to Santa Maria Maggiore and through Centovalli back to Switzerland to Ascona and through Monte Ceneri back to Lugano.Sighignola - Lago di Lugano (approx. 115 km / 2.5 hours)
